Niger: Launch of FAO’s emergency agricultural activities and response to the pastoral lean season

Between July and August 2020, FAO officially launched its emergency agricultural activities and response to the pastoral lean season in four regions of the Niger – Diffa, Maradi, Tahoua and Zinder. Animal feed and rainfed seeds were provided to vulnerable farming households in order to continue to carry out production activities, and improve their livelihoods and food security.
