A systems approach to Agrifood Systems Transformation: barriers and enablers

This side event follows on from two earlier Masterclasses that provided conceptual groundings about, and practical examples on what it means to take a systems approach to agrifood systems transformation. This event specifically aims at unpacking the different types of barriers – be they institutional, social or behavioral – that stand in the way of a systems approach and the incentives needed to unlock its potential. It will do so by listening to the voices of those who have been involved in projects that have used a systems approach and sharing their insights as to what has (or not) worked.

The event will be held on 14 October 2025, from 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM CEST, at the FAO Headquarters in Rome, Italy, in the German Room (C269), and will also be accessible online.
