Quantifying animal disease burden to contribute towards return-on-investment calculations in One Health projects
24/09/2025

24 September 2025 | 14:00-15:15 (CEST)
Join us for an interactive learning dialogue exploring how the Global Burden of Animal Diseases (GBADS) approach can support return-on-investment (ROI) calculations in One Health initiatives.
A panel of experts will share their experience in measuring and interpreting the burden of animal diseases worldwide. Topics will include:
- Progress in developing burden metrics, from data collection to integration, visualization, and the information and communication technologies and tools used
- Insights from country-level case studies
- An introduction to the GBADS technical guide with practical examples
- Updates on the GBADS knowledge engine and its evolving interface
The session will conclude with an open discussion, giving participants the chance to exchange experiences, raise challenges, and identify opportunities in applying these methods.
