The launch of a training series by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) to support agricultural entrepreneurship in the Syrian Arab Republic, through its Smallholder Support Programme (SSP), will boost the ability of rural youth and women to develop their businesses, achieve a viable income and improve their livelihoods.

Since 2011, the Syrian conflict has hard hit the families in the country. Family members have been lost, homes and belongings left behind. Food and agriculture practices passed on for generations have been abandoned.
