Thanks to funding from the German Federal Foreign Office, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is implementing Anticipatory Actions in the Niger and three other West African countries - Chad, Mali and Nigeria - to safeguard the lives and livelihoods of the most vulnerable people from forecast severe flooding in the region.
