The course Agroecology: transition towards sustainable food systems

The course Agroecology: transition towards sustainable food systems is a partnership effort between the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Latin American Scientific Society of Agroecology (SOCLA), that seeks to contribute and stimulate the exchange and promotion of agroecological principles and approaches in the context of territorial development, sustainability and resilience, governance and empowerment of communities and people.
It's designed for representatives of the public and private sectors, civil society, academia and international organizations interested in enhancing their knowledge about agroecology with the fundamental purpose of spread, promote and strengthen knowledge around this field and its contribution in order to obtain informed decision making, to propose actions that consolidate sustainable and resilient food systems and to promote rural and rural-urban territorial development in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The objective of this event is to present and launch the regional course Agroecology: transition towards sustainable food systems, in order to inform about its objectives, purposes and goals.
