Webinar: Scaling up action and finance for the Biodiversity–Climate–Food Nexus in Latin America and the Caribbean
Virtual Event, 31/01/2024
Background
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) invites you to a webinar on the Biodiversity–Climate–Food Nexus, to be held on 31 January 2024, 12:00–13:30 CLST / 16:00–17:30 CET.
A Biodiversity–Climate–Food Nexus approach simultaneously considers biodiversity, climate and food security and nutrition objectives in solution planning, aiming to achieve a triple-win outcome. The webinar will explore the opportunities and challenges of leveraging this approach to access finance and scale-up integrated action, including through the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and the Global Environment Facility (GEF).
It will also provide an opportunity for participants to share their views on key needs and on opportunities to overcome barriers in applying a Biodiversity–Climate–Food nexus approach to the design and implementation of projects and programmes.
