Route 1

Route 1 will visit EMBRAPA Cerrados, a unit of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation, where participants can observe demonstrations of participatory cassava breeding, germplasm conservation and use, crop-livestock-forestry integration, and special machinery for family farming. (Maximum 100 people)

Route 2

Route 2 will visit a land reform settlement (Chapadinha), where participants can observe the agroecological production of family farming geared towards public procurement programs, particularly the National School Feeding Program (PNAE), and their experience in accessing credit policies and technical assistance. (Maximum 40 people)

Route 3

Route 3 will visit the Federal Institute of Brasília (IFB) – Planaltina Campus, with a focus on vocational education, innovation applied to agriculture, and the sustainability of food systems. The visit will showcase Brazil’s good practices in technical and technological training in agroecology, livestock production, agroindustry, biology, and Agriculture 4.0, including the use of digital technologies, automation, and data analytics to support food production and food and nutrition security. Extension activities will be presented, as well as the contributions of Brazil’s Federal Network of Vocational Education to territorial development and the promotion of more sustainable food systems. (Maximum 50 participants)
