As part of its mission, FAO generates data and evidence to inform public policies, improve decision-making, and strengthen institutions. The information generated by FAO enables it to provide technical support to countries in their pursuit of more efficient and resilient agri-food systems through trade and transparent markets.
Additionally, FAO's coordinating role has enabled it to forge research partnerships with relevant stakeholders such as development banks, cooperation agencies, institutes, and other agencies within the United Nations system.
