Join us for this quarter’s ENTRVST scientific webinar, which will focus on measuring the burden of animal diseases, an often-overlooked challenge that is essential for making informed decisions.
Animal health extends beyond just the care of livestock and wildlife; it is crucial for livelihoods, food security and national economies. However, the true scale and cost of animal diseases are frequently underestimated when planning policies and allocating resources.
This webinar will introduce the Global Burden of Animal Diseases (GBADs) initiative. It will highlight how innovative methods can reveal hidden impacts, guide better policies and support sustainable livestock transformation across Asia and the Pacific.
Agenda highlights
Prof Jonathan Rushton, University of Edinburgh, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
• Measuring the impact of disease: Insights from GBADs
Assoc Prof Mieghan Bruce, Murdoch University, Australia
• Case Study from GBADs: Implications and recommendations for Asia and the Pacific
Dr Li Yin, Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Australia
• Interactive Q&A
Continue the conversation after the webinar through the ENTRVST Virtual Hub, a space to stay connected, access resources and exchange knowledge. As a peer network, ENTRVST provides an inclusive and dynamic platform for continuous learning and knowledge sharing, with the aim of strengthening veterinary epidemiology capacity across Asia and the Pacific.
