Changing farmer mindsets with FAO farm business schools

With the endless list of challenges smallholder farmers face to sustain their income, it is time to shift their mindsets from producers to better managing their farms toward profitable businesses. FAO’s farm business schools tackle the surrounding challenges by supporting farmers through shifting the farmers’ mindset from production only to assessing market needs as an entry point to select which crops to grow and when and where to sell them; in brief to be market oriented.
