Visit to Michmich in Akkar: Tangible Support to Farmers and Promotion of Sustainable Agriculture

In the rugged hills of Michmich in Akkar, Lebanese farmers are reclaiming their lands and revitalizing their livelihoods. Farmers dug out wells to irrigate high value crops and carried out complementary on-farm works, benefiting from matching investment grants. To witness this transformation, the Lebanese Minister of Agriculture, FAO Representative in Lebanon, and the Danish Ambassador embarked on a field visit to the region.
