FAO collaborates with EAA Qatar “Scoring for SDGs” Campaign for a Sustainable World Cup

24 November 2020 – The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), as part of the “Scoring for the SDGs” Campaign, is working to raise awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and highlighting the need of holding a sustainable World Cup.

“Scoring for the SDGs” Campaign is organized by Education Above All (EAA), a global foundation that provides educational opportunities. The campaign will run in parallel to the World Cup from 21 November – 18 December 2022.

FAO is the custodian of SDG 2: Zero Hunger and is working to raise awareness of ending hunger, stopping food loss and waste, and achieving healthy diets. EAA has built a dedicated pavilion for the campaign in the Fan Zone, where thousands of fans are gathered for the World Cup.
