First Plenary Assembly of the Global Framework on Water Scarcity in Agriculture (WASAG)

The First Plenary Assembly of the Global Framework on Water Scarcity in Agriculture (WASAG) will bring together FAO Members and partners to agree on strategic priorities and strengthen collaboration to address water scarcity in agriculture. Expected outcomes include the adoption of the WASAG Strategy 2026–2031 and the mobilization of support for the 2026–2027 work plan. The event will showcase saline agriculture and indigenous drought-resilient opportunity crops, illustrating WASAG’s innovative work in building resilient agrifood systems in Member Nations
