The FAO-UNCCD Guidance Living Soils, Productive Lands, Resilient Landscapes and its digital companion, developed under Decision 19 adopted at UNCCD COP16, promotes inclusive and integrated approaches - sustainable land use, secure tenure, land use planning, land, soil and water management, diversified production systems and enabling environment - to address agricultural land degradation. Opening remarks by Beth Bechdol, FAO Deputy Director-General, and a presentation by Barron Joseph Orr, UNCCD Chief Scientist, precede a Guidance overview and panel discussion. The Guidance will be launched at UNCCD COP17.
