Plant health is an essential component of the One Health concept that is defined as `the integrated, unifying approach to sustainably balance and optimize the health of people, animals and ecosystems`. This side event provides a forum for informed exchange of ideas and evidence to aid the continuing elucidation of how plant health underpins the One Health approach. The discussions will cover key related topics including biosecurity, integrated pest management, pesticide risk reduction and antimicrobial resistance, as well as prospects for a global programme on the topic.
