FAO, in collaboration with WHO, ILRI, and Vietnam's NIAS, celebrated World Food Safety Day on 7 July 2025. This year’s theme was “Food Safety: Science in Action.” The forum highlighted the vital importance of science-based solutions at all stages of the food supply chain—from farm to table—to address ongoing threats such as pesticide residues, microbial contamination and unauthorized additives.
