Agricultural research is central to unlock the potential of agricultural innovation and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. It is essential for increasing productivity and promoting sustainable agricultural growth, and alleviating poverty.
FAO is organizing a webinar focusing on Europe and Central Asia on “Agricultural research in Europe and Central Asia in the post-COVID-19 era: Can be produced more with less?”. The event will discuss information and experiences with governments and research institutes on the relevance of agricultural research and innovation in adopting and promoting new and innovative technologies for increased food production with less resources.

This webinar, part of a regional series, will support the dialogue among countries and partners on the future of agricultural research, and the role of innovation in agricultural and sustainable production practices in supporting food security in the region, especially for the most vulnerable.
