Final Policy level validation workshop

The FAO project’s implementation on Support to the preparation of the Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development in Brcko District started on 9th November 2016 and will be ending on 30th June 2018. The main objective of the project is to formulate the Strategy for Agriculture and Rural development for the period of 2018-2024 in Brcko District with the involvement of different stakeholders. Within the framework of the project, capacity building training workshops were delivered on different topics to the relevant officers of the Department of Brcko District and other agencies, for example on rural development experiences from Hungary, rural tourism and the role and main tasks of the Paying Agency in Rural Development.

On 30th May 2018 a final policy level validation workshop will take place in Brcko with the participation of those departments of Brcko District which are involved in the rural development issues (tourism, health and social care, education, environment, infrastructure), farmers, representatives of different associations and cooperatives in agriculture, representatives of food industry and other NGO that are active in the District. The main objective of the workshop is, on one hand, to present and discuss the full draft of the Strategy for Agriculture and Rural development for the period of 2018-2024 in Brcko District including the vision, objectives and policy prioritization, on the other hand to validate the document in order to finalize it after the workshop.
