First technical meeting on building a regional strategy to enhance sustainable natural resource management resilient to climate change in the REU region

The FAO Regional Conference for Europe in May 2018 approved the Regional Initiative 3: “Natural Resources management under climate change” as a mechanism for support to FAO member countries in building resilience to climate change and natural disasters for sustainable food systems.

Natural resource management issues are dependent on geography and climate and vary across the region so the main objective of this technical meeting what is organized at 12 December 2018 in Budapest, is to initiate a discussion on the priorities and the method for the development of Natural Resources management Strategy what is responsive to climate change in agriculture, forestry and fishery integrating criteria for its suitable use, conservation, restauration and preservation.
