Meeting of the Ministers of Agriculture of Central Asia

The Meeting of the Ministers of Agriculture of Central Asia focuses on sharing policies, actions, and plans in addressing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the food security of their respective countries. It may also discuss the countries’ initiatives and measures to avoid disruptions to the food supply chain and food production with a scope to ensure food security for all the people in the Central Asian countries. The Meeting will also identify areas where collaboration among the countries of the region is likely to strengthen their efforts to cope with and manage the impact of COVID19 on food security and agriculture.
The Meeting may result in a setting up of a regional collaboration/consultation framework for the region’s Ministries of agriculture that would facilitate timely and effective cooperation on measures to mitigate the impact of COVID19 on food security and agriculture.
