On-job training on pesticide quality assessment

The five days on-job training is the next activity of the TCP/RER/3503: Strengthening capacities of the national phytosanitary control services in four Eastern European countries.
The purpose of this training is to introduce the principles and practice of defining acceptable quality and equivalence of pesticides, to assist government’s laboratory to strengthen the underlying procedures required for quality control of pesticides used in agriculture. The training will cover such topics like methods and techniques for measuring the standardized quality of plant protection products; Conducting measurements of the concentration of active substances in samples of different preparative forms of pesticides by high-performance liquid chromatography; quality principles and systems, documentation of laboratory work, reporting of results, and new developments in pesticide residue analysis etc.
