Project Steering Committee meeting: Lifecycle Management of Pesticides and Disposal of POPs Pesticides

The Project Steering Committee of the GEF project “Lifecycle Management of Pesticides and Disposal of POPs Pesticides in Central Asian countries and Türkiye” will meet on 27–29 June in Baku, Azerbaijan to facilitate regional coordination and joint decision-making. In the framework of the committee meeting, training workshops will take place to raise awareness among stakeholders on safeguarding obsolete pesticides and on the gender dimension of pesticide use. The meeting concludes with a field visit to Jangi landfill, where obsolete pesticides are repacked for final disposal in line with internationally recognized good practices.
