Regional webinar on plant protection issues

FAO is organizing a virtual event for countries of Europe and Central Asia to present current issues in plant protection. Among others, the webinar will address new phytosanitary treatments adopted and applied internationally, as well as the use of biological control agents for pest control. Speakers include renowned international experts Mike Ormsby from New Zealand, who will give an update on phytosanitary treatments, and Rob Tanner from the Secretariat of the European and Mediterranean Plant Protection Organization, providing information on biological pest control.

The webinar will take place online (via Zoom) on 1 December, from 9:00 to 12:00 Budapest/Rome time (CET) with simultaneous interpretation into English and Russian languages. After each presentation, there will be time for comments, questions and discussions.
