Steering Committee Meeting of the “Strengthening Agricultural Infrastructure Services with the Context of Global Soil Partnership” Project

FAO and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry developed this technical cooperation project to strengthen the effective communication between all governmental bodies and to ensure the engagement of public stakeholders in the development of national soil policies and strategies in the context of the Global Soil Partnership (GSP).

The implementation of the project started in March 2018 and a series of workshops and trainings were organized as well as technical assistance provided which helped to review the status of soil management and soil information system structure in Turkey. In addition, the National Strategy and Action Plan on soil information management and soil data governance is being drafted by international and national consultants with close cooperation with related institutions.
