II International Conference on Food Safety and Joint Efforts to Reduce Antimicrobial Resistance

Moscow (Russia), 20/11/2025 - 21/11/2025

The Second International Conference ‘Food Safety and Joint Efforts to Reduce Antimicrobial Resistance’ will take place on 20–21 November 2025 in Moscow, under the auspices of the Russian Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor) and with technical support from FAO.

The conference coincides with the World AMR Awareness Week (WAAW) that is celebrated every year from 18 to 24 November with the aim to raise awareness and encourage action among One Health actors to tackle the emergence and spread of drug-resistant pathogens. The theme for WAAW 2025 is "Act Now: Protect Our Present, Secure Our Future", underscoring the urgent need for bold, coordinated, cross-sectoral action to address AMR, a growing global threat that is already affecting our health, food systems, environment and economies.
