Inception meeting: “Enhancing the Capacity of the Turkish International Forestry Training Centre”

The inception meeting of the project “Enhancing the Capacity of the Turkish International Forestry Training Centre” will be held on 1 August 2024 in Ankara, with the participation of forestry experts from the FAO and other relevant institutions. Implemented under the FAO–Türkiye Forestry Partnership Programme, the project aims to establish an international training centre that provides sustainable capacity development in selected fields of forestry training to interested countries, including Türkiye.

FAO, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Türkiye, and the General Directorate of Forestry will collaborate closely within the scope of this project. The goal is to strengthen and expand the capacity of the Turkish International Forestry Training Centre, improving regional and international capacity development by enriching its curricula with selected fields of forestry training, including gender-sensitive content.
