Inception workshop: “Pandemic Fund (Kyrgyzstan): Pandemic Preparedness and Response through a One Health approach in Central Asia”

On 9 October in Bishkek, FAO will host the inception workshop for the “Pandemic Fund (Kyrgyzstan): Pandemic Preparedness and Response through a One Health Approach in Central Asia” project. The workshop, running from 9:00 to 13:00 Bishkek time, will introduce the project's goals, focusing on enhancing pandemic preparedness and response through a comprehensive One Health approach. This initiative, supported by the Quadripartite Alliance including FAO, UNEP, World Bank, and WHO, seeks to bolster veterinary, environmental, and health systems across Central Asia by improving disease surveillance, laboratory capabilities, and healthcare infrastructure.

The event will gather a diverse group of actors, including representatives from Kyrgyz government agencies, research institutions, international organizations, and financial partners to foster collaboration, finalize implementation strategies, and ensure alignment among all involved parties.
