Inception Workshop: Results-based monitoring of internationally financed projects

Organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), a launch event and inception workshop will be held for the project “Enhancing the capacity of results-based monitoring of internationally-financed projects to improve policymaking in food and agriculture sector” (Monitoring Project) on 6 October 2025 in Ankara, Türkiye. The Monitoring Project will run until September 2026 under the umbrella of the FAO–Türkiye Partnership Programmes (FTPP).

The event will host senior-level representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Türkiye, FAO, participants from Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, as well as other relevant institutions.

The project aims to strengthen the capacity of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Türkiye , along with the Ministries of Agriculture of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, in results-based monitoring (RBM) and impact evaluation of internationally financed projects. This capacity is essential to ensure evidence-based policymaking, better allocation of resources, and effective assessment of project impacts in the food and agriculture sector.

During the launch event, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the scope, objectives and key components of the project. The subsequent inception workshop will focus on needs analysis and result-based monitoring.
