Inception workshop of Integrated water resources management for the restoration of agro-woodlands in the Syrdarya River basin project (FSP)

The inception workshop, organized by FAO Kyrgyzstan under the Letter of Agreement (LoA) with the Forestry Service under Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan, marks the official launch of the project. The meeting will bring together key stakeholders to present the project's objectives, implementation approach, and expected results, while fostering collaboration and coordination among partners.

The project promotes a holistic, gender-responsive approach to Integrated Watershed Management (IWM), incorporating sustainable land, water, and natural resource management practices, supported by geospatial tools and guided by Water-Land Nexus principles to strengthen the resilience and restoration of agro-woodlands in the Syrdarya River Basin.
