Investment Forum to facilitate two pilot agroclusters in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan), 23/11/2023

The Investment Forum is organized jointly by the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO) with the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund (RKDF) within the scope of the project “Promoting accelerated green investment in agriculture through capacity building of national financial institutions.”

The Invest Forum anticipates yielding significant outcomes crucial for the advancement of agrocluster initiatives in the Kyrgyz Republic. Through the presentation and validation of the feasibility studies at the Forum, we aim to foster a comprehensive understanding among stakeholders about the proposed dairy cluster in Chui and the red meat cluster in Naryn and Issyk-Kul.

This heightened awareness is expected to catalyze collaborative efforts among government entities, businesses, research institutions, and civil society. Additionally, the forum seeks to generate a platform for dialogue and partnership, paving the way for the government to garner essential investments essential for the successful initiation of the two pilot agroclusters.

As participants engage in discussions and share insights, it is envisaged that the forum will contribute to the formulation of strategic approaches, fostering a dynamic environment for sustainable agrocluster development in the region.
