Partnership talks: Türkiye’s role in transforming agrifood systems and sustainable forests through partnerships

As part of the 29th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), the FAO and the Government of Türkiye will host a side event showcasing joint efforts in transforming agrifood systems and advancing sustainable forestry. This event will spotlight the FAO–Türkiye Partnership Programmes, highlighting Türkiye’s significant contributions and their impact across the region.

The panel, titled ‘Partnership Talks: Türkiye’s role in transforming agrifood systems and sustainable forests through partnerships,’ will examine Türkiye's collaborative work with FAO in promoting food security, sustainable forestry, and climate resilience—benefiting not only Türkiye but also countries across Central Asia, Africa, and Europe.

Türkiye has invested USD 30 million in the FAO–Türkiye Partnership Programmes, demonstrating a robust commitment to sustainable agriculture, resilient rural livelihoods, and enhanced natural resource management. This panel will explore the impact of the Partnership, emphasizing how strategic partnerships with public and private sectors are driving meaningful change toward global climate action goals.
