Regional conference: Advancing on green policies for agrifood systems transformation

On 29-31 May 2024, FAO is organizing a regional conference in a hybrid format on green agriculture “Advancing on green policies for agrifood systems transformation in Europe and Central Asia”, in the framework of its regional project on scaling up green agriculture in the region.
Green agriculture means actioning a green agenda into agrifood system policies to achieve agrifood system transformation to ensure food security for all. Green agriculture is at the crossroads of the three dimensions of sustainability – economic, environmental and social – and contributes to achieving several Sustainable Development Goals.
The main objective of the conference is to discuss and exchange experiences on green agriculture and examine the status of green innovation, technology and polices for advancing green transformation of the agrifood system. This includes catalysing collaboration to accelerate the adoption of green practices, bridging science and policy, and enhancing the inter- and intraregional knowledge sharing, contributing to greening agrifood systems across Europe and Central Asia and beyond.
English-Russian simultaneous interpretation will be provided during the event.
