Regional training on the correct use, maintenance and repair of ultra-low volume (ULV) sprayers, Locust Management project

A regional training course on the correct use, maintenance and repair of ultra-low volume (ULV) sprayers is planned to be conducted within the framework of the Programme for Improving National and Regional Locust Management Responses in the Caucasus and Central Asia (CCA) and the Project for Improving Locust Management (Phase 2) in Central Asia (GCP/INT/384/JCA).
Representatives from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as specialists from Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, will participate in the training. The aim of the event is to strengthen national capacity in the application of ultra-low-volume (ULV) pesticides, ensure their safe and effective use in the field, and acquire practical knowledge and skills in the operation, maintenance, and repair of ULV sprayers. The training will also include an assessment of the technical condition of existing equipment, identifying common faults, and developing recommendations for extending its service life.
