Regional workshop on occupational health and safety in inland aquaculture and fisheries

This workshop seeks to accomplish several essential goals: reviewing the draft regional occupational health and safety (OHS) code of practice for aquaculture and fisheries by evaluating and refining the proposed guidelines to ensure they meet regional needs and adhere to international standards; discussing the current state of aquaculture OHS in member countries through sharing insights and experiences on implementing these practices; and developing a regional roadmap for enacting the Regional CACFISH Code of Practice for Inland Aquaculture and Fisheries, which involves creating a strategic action plan to facilitate its adoption and enforcement.

The workshop caters to government agencies responsible for regulating aquaculture and fisheries, fish farm operators, industry stakeholders, and experts in aquaculture and inland fisheries development from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan.
