Smallholder inclusion in agrifood value chains in the Republic of Moldova

On 12 September 2024 in Chisinau, the Republic of Moldova, an international conference is organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the German-Moldovan Agricultural Policy Dialogue (APD), in collaboration with the Moldovan Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, on the inclusion of smallholder farmers in agrifood value chains of the Republic of Moldova.

The event aims to stimulate a broad discussion among key actors of the agriculture and rural development sectors on current challenges of and the potential opportunities for Moldovan smallholder farm integration in agrifood value chains. It will equally serve as a forum for presenting the European Union Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and how the CAP is able to better support smallholder inclusion in growing market opportunities. It will be an opportunity for disseminating the studies and data prepared by FAO and APD Moldova.
