Speed dating consultations

Batken (Kyrgyzstan), 17/12/2024 - 19/12/2024

Within the framework of the project “Capacitated women civil society organizations sustaining peace in Kyrgyzstan”, so-called "Speed dating" sessions will be held in two rural areas of Batken district with the participation of national experts and local self-government bodies, local council deputies and residents. Purpose of the speed dating: 

  • To discuss climate change, gender equality and social cohesion issues, including assessment of the project's impact on these aspects.
  • To conduct a rapid assessment of the priority needs of local communities and collect suggestions for their further inclusion in the work plans of the aiyl okmotu local municipalities.
  • To consolidate the application of the blitz discussion methodology by local self-government bodies in three aiyl okmotu local municipalities (Toguz-Bulak, Tort-Gul, Suu-Bashy) as an effective tool for rapid and inclusive assessment of population needs and establishing dialogue with the local community.
  • To track the dynamics of perception of issues related to the indicators by re-interviewing the participants of the previous speed dating occasion (about 50-60 participants). Compare the results obtained with the data for the period from 1 to 20 November 2023.
