Training on phytosanitary inspection

Training Workshop on application of risk assessment criteria in the field of phytosanitary supervision. As part of its technical assistance to the Kyrgyz Republic, FAO organizes a Training Workshop on application of risk assessment criteria in the field of phytosanitary supervision. It aims at strengthening the capacity of veterinary oversight specialists in applying risk-based approaches to the assessment of business entities operating in the field of veterinary safety.

The workshop is conducted in line with the requirements of the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On the Procedure for Conducting Inspections of Business Entities” and focuses on improving the application of risk assessment criteria in planning and conducting inspections. Particular attention will be given to the introduction of international standards and FAO best practices in veterinary control and risk management.

The event is expected to contribute to strengthening the veterinary oversight system, improving the effectiveness of control activities, and ensuring the protection of animal and public health.
