Training series on ecosystem services assessment in livestock agroecosystem

The FAO Livestock Environmental Assessment and Performance (LEAP) Partnership has announced a new series of regional trainings on ecosystem services assessment in livestock agroecosystems. The activities will take place from September to November 2025.
Within the scope of the course, participants will:
- complete the Assessment of ecosystem services in livestock agroecosystems course at the FAO elearning Academy (by 30 September);
- receive a preparatory online training course with an international trainer and co-author of the FAO LEAP Guidelines on Ecosystem Services Assessment in Livestock Agroecosystems (by 15 October);
- participate in a one-day classroom training – held in the cities of Almaty, Ankara, Ashgabat, Baku, Bishkek, Chisinau, Dushanbe, Tashkent, Tbilisi and Tirana – on the practical application of the guidelines in the specific environment of a country or region (by 20 November); and
- convene for a follow-up session to reflect on the training process and address any remaining questions (by 25 November).
All successful trainees will receive an official certificate from FAO.
The training is designed for and welcomes applicants from a variety of sectors, including civil society organizations, research institutes, producer associations, technical units at national governments, higher education students, and experts from FAO and other United Nations agencies.
The language of the workshop will be English, with simultaneous interpretation arranged locally.
