The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is hosting the regional workshop “One Country One Priority Product (OCOP)” for the Near East and North Africa (NENA) region in Cairo, Egypt for two days. This event aims to bring together representatives from ten OCOP countries to review progress, exchange best practices and explore opportunities to strengthen food systems through sustainable and inclusive approaches.

Khaled AlHnaifat, a pivotal workshop was held for the Food Systems-Climate Action Convergence Initiative, funded by the Dutch government. The initiative, launched by the UN Deputy Secretary-General at COP28, and implemented by the UN Food Systems Coordination Hub, aims to accelerate progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Agreement by aligning these two critical agendas.
